Caravan Park

Stony Point Caravan Park is the ideal spot to relax and enjoy a bit of fishing or use as a base to visit the attractions of the Mornington Peninsula. Situated approimately 11 km from Hastings and 7km from Balnarring on Western Port. Visitors can explore galleries, restaurants and wineries or enjoy a game of golf on one of the many courses on the Peninsula, including Cerberus only 2km from the caravan park.

Once the centre of communication by land and sea for the whole of Western Port, all rail and ferry traffic began and ended at Stony Point  The rail service to Frankston and Melbourne still operates and the station is beside the caravan park. 

Passenger only ferry services to French and Phillip Islands leave from Stony Point jetty.

Note some GPS systems indicate a roadway/bridge from Stony Point to French & Phillip Islands - there is NO roadway/bridge only a passenger ferry.

As well as being a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Western Port is an International Ramsar site ,the mudflats and wetlands are an important part of the Australasian East Asia flyway for migratory birds. Many overseas visitors, as well as locals come to the area for its natural beauty.
