The importance of the reserve as a biolink is hightled by the fact that of the 208 vascular plant species recorded in the reserve 145 are indigenous. Of the Ten EVC's (ecological vegetation classes) found in the reserve, four are listed as endangered and four are listed as vulnerable in Victoria. Five species are regarded as of State Significance and one species is listed as vulnerable under the EPBC Act.
